Laney Jr., 84, of Fostoria, passed away Saturday, Aug. 24, 2024, at Birchaven Village, Findlay.He was born June 3, 1940, in Fostoria, to Howard E. and Mildred (Niswander) Laney Sr. He was raised by his mother, Mildred, and stepfather, George Ingram. He married Janette St. Myer on April 2, 1961.Howard is survived by his wife, Janette Laney of Fostoria; sons, Chris Laney of Fostoria and Randy Laney of Findlay; daughter, Julie (Charlie) Lewis of Fostoria; brothers, Ron (Lorraine) Laney of Rockhold, Kentucky, and Bob (Gayle) Ingram of Michigan; grandchildren, Josh, Leah, Joel, Maria, and Hannah Laney, and Heather Taylor; and great-grandchildren, Ethan and Chloe Mercado, Arianna Laney, and Matthew Laney.He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Curt Laney; and stepfather, George Ingram.Howard was a graduate of Fostoria High School and an U.S. Air Force veteran.
