Robert D. "Bob" MaasRobert D. "Bob" Maas, 88, of Findlay, passed away peacefully at 8:52 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 22, 2024, at his home surrounded by his family.Bob was born March 14, 1936, in Kentucky, to Cecil and Ruth E. (Wiggins) Maas, and grew up in Deshler.He married Ruth Vandersall on March 8, 1957, at McComb Church of Christ, and she survives.Bob is also survived by his son, Mark A. (Noreen) Maas of Findlay; four grandchildren, Justin C. (Jacey) Maas, Clayton E. (Leah) Maas, Christy A. (Matthew) Cramner of Findlay, and Heather M. (Jamey) Gorman of Knoxville, Tennessee; 12 great-grandchildren, and special daughter-in-law, Cindy Hauenstein.He was preceded in death by his parents; son, R. Dan Maas in 2001; and brother, Homer "Til" Maas.Bob served his country in U.S. Army, stationed in Panama in 1950s. When he returned home, Bob started with Findlay Sundry Sales, which he operated for 25 years. Then, he and his wife, Ruth, founded Things 'n Pills, a beloved Hallmark gift store. Bob lat
