James Loy WithrowJames Loy Withrow, 86, who worked as a professional engineer in life, passed away at 10:20 p.m. Sunday, June 23, 2024.He was born Dec. 24, 1937, at a residence on Ground Hog Pike in Marion County, to Oliver Ray Withrow and Iscah Del Metz. He married Mary Margo McNaughton on Sept. 4, 1960, and she survives.James is also survived by his daughters, Jennifer (James) Hiles, Lora (Rusty) Rahe, and Amy Withrow (Kelley Engle); nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Betty (Walter) McClaskey and Kate Withrow; and brother, Norman (Mary Ellen) Withrow.James graduated from New Bloomington High School. He received a five-year degree in chemical engineering from The Ohio State University. James was employed by National Lime & Stone Company for 38 years and retired as the Director of Laboratory & Research.
